The Rauschenberg Foundation is committed to investing in the places where the artist lived and worked for many years. Building on the deep ties Robert Rauschenberg had to New York (where the foundation is currently headquartered) and to Captiva, FL (the site of the Rauschenberg Residency program), the foundation established a Regional Grants program, which provided support to area organizations both in and outside of the art sector.
To administer these grants, the foundation has formed partnerships with community foundations in each area. In New York that work is guided by the New York Community Trust and in Florida by the Southwest Florida Community Foundation. While our regional grants program has been closed, these partnerships continue through our Emergency grants.
