Building on the empathetic creative and political daring of its founder, the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation’s philanthropic programs aspire to create an equitable, sustainable, and artistically vibrant world. We seek to provide alternatives to the canonical and to celebrate new and even untested ways of thinking and acting across the disciplines.

At present, the Philanthropy Program operates by invitation only and does not accept applications.

Grants

Support for small to midsize arts and socially-engaged organizations that are contrarian and experimental, even courageous, in driving towards equity.

Underground Museum: Multi-year support for the creation of new artwork, exhibitions, programing, and general operations.

Coalition of Immokalee Workers: Funds to develop a strategy and campaign to attract governmental support for medical services including a field hospital.

Our philanthropic giving builds on a legacy of past giving.
