Kabal American Zephyr (1981–83/1985/1987–88)

Kabal American Zephyr is a sculptural series inspired by the macabre work of nineteenth-century Japanese woodblock printmaker Tsukioka Yoshitoshi. Rauschenberg also appropriates some of Yoshitoshi’s titles.
