Building on the empathetic creative and political daring of its founder, the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation’s philanthropic programs aspire to create an equitable, sustainable, and artistically vibrant world. We seek to provide alternatives to the canonical and to celebrate new and even untested ways of thinking and acting across the disciplines.

At present, the Philanthropy Program operates by invitation only and does not accept applications.

Grants

Clemente: Funding for Historias, an arts festival led by the Latinx Consortium of NY, that recovers and elevates histories of the collaborating communities across boroughs.

Rauschenberg Dancer Emergency Grants: Provides one-time grants of up to $3,000 to professional dancers in need, who have a dire financial emergency due to the loss or lack of live performance work.

Support for small to midsize arts and socially-engaged organizations that are contrarian and experimental, even courageous, in driving towards equity.

Our philanthropic giving builds on a legacy of past giving.
