Through its workshops, composition competitions, festivals, and productions, Black House has established itself as the voice of emerging new music in the city and throughout the Midwest. Black House Collective and artistic director Hunter Long have been recognized through grants from the Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City, Charlotte Street Foundation, and Robert Rauschenberg Foundation.
