FiveOne Experimental Orchestra

Cleveland, Ohio

Since 2009, FiveOne Experimental Orchestra has championed the music of today through concerts, recordings, and commissions featuring some of the most talented artists in Ohio and beyond. Its musicians have received awards and praise from nationally recognized organizations including the Aspen Music Festival, Cleveland Institute of Music, Cleveland Orchestra, June in Buffalo, and the Minnesota Orchestra Composer Institute, among others.

Upholding the standard that modern music is for everyone, FiveOne has performed in unusual spaces, including art galleries, libraries, museums, alleys, and factories, and it presents works that fuse rock and popular sensibilities with a modern edge. FiveOne has also collaborated with many artists across disciplines including dancers, filmmakers, artists, and sculptors—all in service of its ultimate goal to vitalize and inspire the community through nontraditional performances, collaborations, and educational outreach that bridges the gap between pop culture and modern art music.
