Signal Culture

Signal Culture encourages the creation of new work, building of community, and connection to history of experimental media art by providing artists, researchers, and innovators with residencies, resources, and exhibition opportunities. Its experimental media studio is outfitted with real-time analogue and digital image-processing equipment, custom hardware and software, a variety of interactive interfaces, and alternative imaging devices that can be configured in a modular studio setup. In addition to the residency program, Signal Culture organizes exhibitions and talks and produces publications. Its long-term plans include curating traveling shows and creating an on-site research center to document the history and material practices driving experimental media art.
