Artist as Activist: Organizations

While the Artist as Activist program largely invests in the work of individual artists as change agents, the foundation recognizes that these artists are part of a much larger ecosystem that includes community-based organizations, art presenters, residency programs, public art organizations, public design and architecture firms, universities, municipalities, and more. To date, ten organizations have received $20,000 in unrestricted funds to recognize their important contributions to this ecosystem overall, and in particular their pioneering roles in facilitating artistic work that intersects with activism and social responsibility.
